  2. Select GPA scale — choose 4.0 (standard) or 5.0 (weighted for AP/honors).

Understanding GPA

GPA = Total Quality Points ÷ Total Credits. Each course contributes: Credits × Grade Points. For example, a 3-credit course with an A (4.0) adds 12 quality points. A 4-credit course with a B+ (3.3) adds 13.2 points.

4.0 Scale: A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B=3.0, B-=2.7, C+=2.3, C=2.0, C-=1.7, D+=1.3, D=1.0, F=0.0. 5.0 Scale: Adds 1.0 for AP/honors courses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — your courses are saved to your browser's localStorage. They persist between sessions on the same device/browser. No data is sent to any server. Clearing browser data will remove saved courses.

Use the built-in converter. Common mappings: 93-100% = 4.0 (A), 90-92% = 3.7 (A-), 87-89% = 3.3 (B+), 83-86% = 3.0 (B), 80-82% = 2.7 (B-), 77-79% = 2.3 (C+), 73-76% = 2.0 (C).

First convert each percentage to a 4.0 scale grade (A+=4.0, A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B=3.0, etc.), then multiply each grade by its course credits, sum all grade points, and divide by total credits. Use this calculator to enter your courses and see your GPA computed automatically.
