Why Use a World Clock

If you work with teams across multiple time zones — or you need to coordinate meetings, flights, or deadlines — a world clock is indispensable. Instead of mentally calculating "it's 3 PM in New York, so it's 8 PM in London," you just glance at your dashboard.

This tool pre-loads five major cities (New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney, Los Angeles) and lets you add any timezone on Earth. The clocks update every second, so you always know the exact time — not an approximation.

Frequently Asked Questions

All clocks use the Intl.DateTimeFormat browser API, which automatically accounts for DST transitions. When a timezone switches between standard and daylight time, your clock adjusts instantly — no manual configuration needed.

The dropdown includes over 50 cities across all continents. If you need a timezone not listed, choose a city in the same offset (e.g., add "Bangkok" instead of "Jakarta" for UTC+7). The list covers all standard IANA timezones.

Yes — your clocks and their order are saved in your browser's local storage. When you return, you'll see the same clocks in the same arrangement.

The clocks sync to your device's system time, which is automatically synchronized via NTP (Network Time Protocol). Accuracy is typically within milliseconds. The analog clock hand sweeps smoothly using CSS animation for a realistic feel.

The sun icon ☀️ indicates daytime (6:00 AM to 7:59 PM local time), while the moon icon 🌙 indicates nighttime (8:00 PM to 5:59 AM). This gives you an instant visual sense of whether someone in that timezone is likely awake.
